Correspondence, accounts, labor records, deeds, farm leases, articles, speeches, pamphlets, photographs, memoranda, briefs and other legal papers relating to Decker's dairy farm and cattle breeding, and to the New York State dairy industry generally, and specifically the Albany movement, the fight in the New York milkshed against the Dairymen's League, and other dairy issues of the 1920s and 1930s. Political materials include correpondence about Decker's managing the campaign of former governor Frank O. Lowden for presidential nomination in 1928. There are also legal documents and correspondence of several firms in Syracuse, including the Syracuse Dry Goods Company, 1923-29; Syracuse Hub Corporation, later Decker Building, Inc., 1921-27; and Clinton-Noxon, Inc., 1926-46. Also, maps and plans of Syracuse real estate and buildings; material on St. Joseph's Hospital; estate papers of James L. Decker and others; printed and mimeographed material on the Red Cross, Holstein-Friesian Association of America, War Manpower Commission of Syracuse, prisoner of war labor on area farms, and the Onondaga County Farm Bureau. There is genealogical data on Decker's ancestors; his writings on history and current New York State agriculture; rough draft, notes, and correspondence for his book BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY; manuscript autobiographical sketch; and his published memoirs. Also, farm auction programs from Earlville and elsewhere.
